The river is divided really along the whole course by localities as Mañón and O Vicedo; it mean, the provinces of Lugo and A Coruña. We have to highligh an enormous difference between middle-high part and the mouth of the river.
At first, in many cases the river flow into verticals slopes forming a river-bed and finally toward the outlet make up an estuary with smooth shapes. This area highlight for its huge natural and ecological wealthy.
Due to the great natural beauties of the whole environment, we think that the riversides of this river can be a suitable place for walking and resting.

It is a trekking route approved by the Galician Hillwalking Federation in september of 2001. Also, there is an inscription PR-G8 which go along the whole bank of the river “Sor”. It is a river with a huge fishing wealthy and have got several buildings suitable to fish ( 8 fishing lodge or refuges which are used as well as picnic lunch, two chairs-lift for crossing the river, a hanger bridge, a dam, a capture box, a sea-trout and salmon bed both available for the fishing.
Among all these buildings we can find a chair-lift, a dam, a refuge and beside the capture box there is a fish hatchery.
