Carmen festivities in O Vicedo.

Third Sunday of June. Charaterized by the floral carpets which decorate the main streets of the town where passes the procession and takes away Carmen’s Virgin from the church to the Port. Carmen’s Virgin is fishermen’s pattern. At the following day the Virgin leaves heading the marine procession by a ship decked out for the occasion and followed by many others ships of fishing and sporting boats that have base in the Port of O Vicedo.

During the first period of July. Rural party takes place in the area of the eolic park of O Vicedo and it is characterized by the horsesrace and the tasting of typical products.

In honor to the pattern of the parish of O Vicedo, the party changed the date of its celebration. So, before was celebrated in December the 26th and then passed to take place in August 3rd. The most outstanding thing is that the last day of the parties was moved to the beach of Xilloy, where groups of friends and families celebrate the festivity in the morning with snacks included. So far as it is necessary to highlight the great quality and variety of fish and shellfish that there are in our shores.
